Overview
Collective2 is a strategy marketplace and broker-linked AutoTrade platform.
It supports a continuum that fits the user's requested DIY/DFY distinction unusually well.
At the DIY end, a user can:
- browse strategies;
- evaluate model records;
- subscribe to one or more systems;
- connect a compatible broker;
- choose scaling and risk controls;
- turn AutoTrade on or off.
At the more managed end, Collective2 also maintains a separate ScoutAlpha route offered through affiliated C2 Financial Technology LLC, where an affiliated Commodity Trading Advisor can select and monitor trading programs for a dedicated Interactive Brokers account.
These are not one product.
The review should keep them separate.
May fit better for
- traders who want to automate third-party strategies;
- users who do not want to write the strategy themselves;
- investors who want assets to remain at a compatible broker;
- users who want to scale or combine several strategies;
- futures, options, stock or forex users depending on broker/strategy;
- traders comfortable evaluating hypothetical model records;
- qualifying investors interested in a more managed CTA structure.
May fit less well for
- passive buy-and-hold investors;
- users who want guaranteed live results matching a model account;
- investors who do not want recurring platform and strategy fees;
- users who cannot tolerate large active-trading losses;
- investors who assume "verified" means audited actual customer performance;
- users who want Collective2 to custody funds directly;
- investors who want one fixed universal strategy minimum.
---
Collective2's core investor workflow is user-selected AutoTrade
The current setup flow is:
- connect or open a compatible broker account;
- choose an AutoTrade plan;
- choose a strategy;
- set scale/controls;
- turn on AutoTrade.
That is DFY in execution but still self-directed in strategy selection.
The customer chooses what system to follow.
---
Current AutoTrade platform pricing is $49 to $299 per month
Current investor plans:
- Solo:
- Monthly: $49
- Annual: $390
- Strategies: 1
- Max scale: 100%
- Standard:
- Monthly: $99
- Annual: $795
- Strategies: up to 3
- Max scale: 300%
- Portfolio:
- Monthly: $199
- Annual: $1,599
- Strategies: up to 5
- Max scale: 500%
- Portfolio Plus:
- Monthly: $299
- Annual: $2,399
- Strategies: unlimited
- Max scale: 1000%
These are platform AutoTrade plan prices.
They are not the entire cost of following strategies.
---
Strategy subscription fees are separate
Collective2's current algorithmic-trading page states that strategy managers set their own monthly price and gives a current general range of:
- Strategy subscription: $25–$300/month
A user could therefore pay:
- AutoTrade platform fee;
- one or more strategy subscription fees;
- brokerage commissions/fees;
- exchange/data fees where applicable;
- financing/margin costs;
- taxes.
---
Model-account track records are hypothetical
This is the central performance guard.
Collective2 states that its displayed Model Account track records are hypothetical.
The company also records real subscriber brokerage fills where AutoTrade activity exists.
Both facts can be true.
A model record can be useful because it is generated forward in time rather than reconstructed after the fact.
That still does not make it an actual managed-account performance composite.
---
Why real AutoTrade can differ from the model
Collective2 gives users substantial control over live accounts.
A subscriber can:
- change scaling;
- alter position size;
- close a trade manually;
- use personal stops;
- take profits early;
- skip activity;
- start subscribing after a strategy has already been operating.
That creates a basic mismatch:
the common model account is not the same account as every subscriber's real brokerage account.
Live results can also differ because of:
- broker;
- spread;
- slippage;
- option liquidity;
- futures limit moves;
- forex execution;
- account equity;
- buying power;
- partial fills.
ROIStreet should not publish model returns as if every subscriber earned them.
---
Collective2 is an NFA member
Current Collective2 copy-trading materials state:
- Collective2 LLC NFA member: Yes
The broader operating structure also includes affiliated registered entities for certain futures/forex and managed activities.
Store the entity separation rather than assigning one universal broker label.
- Platform company: Collective2 LLC
- Affiliate introducing broker: Trade Integration LLC
- Managed program operator: C2 Financial Technology LLC
---
Broker support depends on asset class
Current setup materials show examples such as:
- Tradier for stocks/options/futures strategies;
- Tradovate for futures-only strategies;
- IG for forex-only strategies;
- Interactive Brokers and other supported brokers through the broader connector list.
The software can support a strategy category without making every broker connection compatible with that category.
---
Suggested capital is strategy-specific, not a platform minimum
Current strategy pages and marketing can show recommended/suggested capital ranging from relatively small accounts into tens of thousands of dollars.
Collective2 minimum investment = $5,000
field.
A strategy's:
- leverage;
- contract size;
- option structure;
- drawdown;
- diversification
can make its practical capital need very different from another strategy.
---
ScoutAlpha is a separate managed CTA route
Collective2's ScoutAlpha page describes a more hands-off structure.
The current page says ScoutAlpha is offered by:
- Managed program operator: C2 Financial Technology LLC
- CTA: Yes
- Broker: Interactive Brokers
The investor opens a dedicated Interactive Brokers account and grants trading authority to the CTA.
Funds remain at Interactive Brokers in the investor's name.
C2FT manages and monitors the trading program.
This is materially different from ordinary Collective2 AutoTrade, where the customer selects the strategy marketplace subscriptions.
---
ScoutAlpha fee percentages should remain undisclosed
The ScoutAlpha materials refer to:
- management fees;
- performance fees.
The current public page does not provide a clean current numeric investor fee schedule suitable for one universal field.
If the public managed program changes its fee/minimum disclosure later, those fields can be updated.
---
AutoTrade scaling can magnify risk
Collective2 plan descriptions allow larger scale percentages on higher tiers.
That is operational flexibility.
It is not a suggestion to use leverage aggressively.
Scaling a strategy above its model can magnify:
- gains;
- losses;
- drawdowns;
- margin usage;
- concentration;
- option assignment exposure;
- futures risk.
A platform limit is not a suitability conclusion.
Assessment
Collective2 is useful precisely because it spans two automation levels.
Ordinary AutoTrade can be mostly hands-free after setup, but the customer remains the strategy selector.
ScoutAlpha moves further toward managed trading by giving an affiliated CTA the job of selecting and monitoring programs in a dedicated brokerage account.
The biggest analytical trap is performance.
Collective2 has more live execution evidence than a simple backtest marketplace, yet it explicitly treats the common Model Account records as hypothetical.
That distinction should remain prominent.
The strongest ROIStreet treatment is therefore:
automation convenience without performance equivalence.
The system can replicate signals into real brokerage accounts.
It cannot guarantee that the displayed model record will be the result any particular customer receives.
