Capitalise.ai is a no-code automation platform that lets traders express strategy rules in everyday language rather than conventional programming syntax.

Its current workflow spans three distinct modes:

  • analysis/backtesting;
  • real-time simulation and monitoring;
  • live execution where a supported broker or exchange connection permits it.

The platform is not itself the customer's brokerage account.

Capitalise.ai's Terms state that the service is a tool and does not provide investment advice, an offer, or a solicitation to buy or sell investments.

The current Capitalise.ai help center states that users can sign up, connect eligible trading accounts, and use the platform without:

Brokerage commissions, spreads, financing, exchange fees, subscriptions or other partner costs remain separate.

Fidelity is currently presented as a research/analysis-and-signals relationship without execution.

Interactive Brokers is presented with execution support and requires a trading account.

Capitalise.ai supports Fidelity, therefore it can auto-trade a Fidelity account.

That is not what the current partner page says.

Capitalise.ai's current Interactive Brokers instructions say users subscribe through the IB client portal and then activate a Capitalise.ai login.

The current page describes the service as fee-waived through that process.

The broker remains responsible for the brokerage account and execution.

Capitalise.ai supplies the strategy interface and automation layer.

Backtests currently use historical one-minute data

Capitalise.ai's documentation describes historical backtests based on strategy entry/exit conditions.

Its current limitations page is especially important.

Backtests can differ from live trading because they do not reproduce:

  • actual broker execution;
  • partial fills;
  • live slippage;
  • all fee effects;
  • tick-by-tick live behavior.

Current documentation says price references in backtests are processed on a one-minute basis.

This is a material limitation for short-duration strategies.

A rule that looks precise in historical bars can trigger differently in a live market.

Simulation uses real-time data but still does not execute

Simulation mode tracks current market conditions without sending actual trades to the broker.

The platform's mode-comparison documentation explains that live trading can involve:

  • partial fills;
  • slippage;
  • real execution constraints.

Simulation does not reproduce those conditions perfectly.

Simulation is an operational testing tool.

It is not a substitute for live fill data.

Capitalise.ai's current execution documentation describes a "Waiting for Execution" state after the strategy condition has triggered and the order has been sent to the broker.

The broker may still be waiting because:

  • liquidity is insufficient;
  • another broker-side condition applies.

This distinction should remain visible:

strategy condition triggered ≠ trade filled.

Capitalise.ai currently displays integrations covering combinations of:

  • crypto.

But available instruments depend on the partner.

Assessment

Capitalise.ai removes one important barrier to automation: syntax.

A trader can describe conditional logic without building and maintaining a conventional software stack.

That ease of use does not remove the complexity of the trading system underneath it.

The user still depends on:

strategy definition → market data → Capitalise interpretation → partner connection → broker execution → market liquidity.

The current zero software fee makes experimentation unusually accessible, but cost is not the main risk in an automated strategy.

Execution differences between backtest, simulation and live trading deserve more attention than the headline price.
