Overview

Plynk is a mobile-first brokerage designed around small-dollar investing, education, recurring investing, and a current mix of brokerage and crypto services.

Its current product set includes:

  • U.S. stocks;
  • ETFs;
  • mutual funds;
  • fractional investing;
  • recurring investing;
  • Individual brokerage accounts;
  • IRAs;
  • simulated trading;
  • stock and fund research;
  • dividend-match programs;
  • an optional Plynk Premium membership;
  • direct crypto through BitGo Bank & Trust.

The most important 2026 status issue is crypto provider migration.

Current operational pages, Terms of Use, homepage, FAQ, and brokerage fee schedule identify BitGo.

Some older disclosure-library pages still reference Paxos.

The review must treat BitGo as current and stale Paxos pages as historical/migration residue.

May fit better for

  • beginner investors;
  • investors starting with small dollar amounts;
  • users who want stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and crypto in one app;
  • investors who value simulated trading and education;
  • dividend investors who can use the current match program;
  • users interested in a low-cost optional premium tier.

May fit less well for

  • options traders;
  • futures traders;
  • advanced active traders;
  • crypto users who require external wallet transfers;
  • investors who assume brokerage and crypto protections are the same;
  • users who do not value dividend match or cash-boost benefits.

---

Brokerage legal identity

Current BrokerCheck:

  • Legal name: Digital Brokerage Services LLC
  • Abbreviation: DBS
  • FINRA CRD: 308213
  • FINRA member: Yes
  • SIPC member: Yes

Current Plynk disclosures identify:

  • Clearing custodian: Green Pier Fintech LLC
  • Green Pier FINRA member: Yes
  • Green Pier SIPC member: Yes

---

Corporate relationship

BrokerCheck identifies Digital Brokerage Services and Green Pier within a common-control corporate structure.

The roles remain:

  • DBS — brokerage service;
  • Green Pier — brokerage custody/clearing;
  • BitGo — crypto trades/custody.

---

Brokerage pricing

Current fee schedule:

  • Plynk app access: $0
  • US equity commission: $0
  • Fund commission: $0

Investment-level expenses and regulatory assessments can still apply.

---

Fractional investing

Current Plynk product/education pages support small-dollar investing.

Eligibility can vary by security/fund.

---

Recurring investing

Plynk supports recurring transactions under its current brokerage agreements.

The current Steady Start feature illustrates a 52-week increasing recurring-investment path beginning at $1.

The feature is an investing mechanism, not a guarantee of profit.

---

Plynk Premium

Current membership:

  • Plynk Premium:
  • Monthly fee: $3.99
  • Cash boost: +0.50% APY
  • Cash boost balance cap: $25,000
  • Maximum annual cash boost: $125
  • Applies to IRA: No

The cash boost is an additional rate on qualifying GCASH balances in the Individual brokerage account.

---

Premium annual cost

$3.99 × 12 = $47.88

per year.

The stated maximum annual cash-boost benefit is $125.

A user reaching the full current cash-boost cap could receive more cash-boost value than the annual membership price, but that comparison excludes:

  • opportunity cost of uninvested cash;
  • taxes;
  • changing rates;
  • other Premium benefits;
  • investment goals.

---

Standard dividend match

Current ongoing program effective June 1, 2026:

  • Standard dividend match:
  • Match rate: 25%
  • Annual cap: $250
  • Eligible accounts: non-retirement Individual brokerage
  • Opt in required: No

Eligible common stock, ETF, and mutual-fund dividends can qualify under current terms.

The match is funded by DBS.

It is not a dividend paid by the underlying security.

---

Premium dividend match

Current Premium terms:

  • Premium dividend match:
  • Match rate: 50%
  • Annual cap: $500

Holding-period and eligibility rules apply.

---

Dividend match example

Assume $400 of eligible paid dividends and all current holding requirements are satisfied.

Standard

$400 × 25% = $100

match.

Premium

$400 × 50% = $200

match.

Those amounts are promotion/account benefits, not yield generated by the securities themselves.

---

Other brokerage fees

Current schedule:

  • Wire transfer: $15
  • Full TOA delivery: $75
  • IRA close out: $125
  • Activity assessment:
  • Typical: $0.01–$0.04 per $1,000 on covered sell/certain orders

The $0 commission headline therefore does not mean every account action is free.

---

IRAs

Current Plynk homepage and retirement agreements support IRA accounts.

These are conventional brokerage retirement accounts.

---

Simulated trading

Current homepage:

  • Simulated trading: Yes

This is useful for education and testing order ideas without using real money.

Simulated results are not live performance.

---

Plynk Explore and research

Plynk includes research and portfolio/investment-discovery tools.

These can include:

  • independent stock grades;
  • Morningstar fund ratings;
  • educational material;
  • market information;
  • crypto analytics;
  • simulated trading.

Research does not make the self-directed account discretionary.

---

Current crypto provider is BitGo

Mandatory current-status rule:

  • Current crypto provider: BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A.
  • Current provider verified by:
  • homepage
  • FAQ/help center
  • June 2026 Terms of Use
  • current brokerage fee schedule

Some disclosure pages still reference Paxos.

---

Current crypto assets

Current FAQ:

  • Crypto assets:
  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Crypto asset count: 4

Keep the count updateable.

---

Crypto minimum and trading hours

Current BitGo-linked Plynk FAQ:

  • Crypto minimum trade: $1
  • Crypto trading: 24/7/365 except scheduled maintenance
  • Crypto order type: market only

Physical-location requirements apply.

---

Crypto fee

Current operational FAQ states:

  • BitGo crypto markup: 50 basis points
  • BitGo crypto markup percentage: 0.50%
  • Markup included in quoted price: Yes

This current BitGo-specific operational fee controls over stale Paxos fee pages.

---

Crypto fee example

A $1,000 crypto trade:

$1,000 × 0.50% = $5

markup reference included in the BitGo quoted price.

Crypto price movement can be much larger than the fee.

---

Crypto transfers are not supported

Current FAQ:

  • External crypto transfer out: No
  • External crypto transfer in: No
  • Crypto to crypto exchange in app: No
  • Crypto payments for goods services: No

Customers can currently buy, hold, and sell supported crypto within the Plynk/BitGo relationship.

---

Crypto settlement

Current FAQ states BitGo crypto trades use two daily settlement windows:

  • Crypto settlement windows:
  • "12: 00 AM"
  • "12: 00 PM"

Trading with unsettled BitGo funds can be available, but withdrawal is restricted until settlement.

---

Crypto protection

Current Plynk FAQ is explicit:

  • Crypto SIPC: No
  • Crypto FDIC: No
  • Crypto market loss protection: No

That is separate from DBS/Green Pier brokerage SIPC coverage.

---

GCASH is not an FDIC bank sweep in this package

Plynk uses GCASH as the brokerage core/free-credit cash balance.

Current Premium materials provide an additional cash-rate boost.

---

Options and futures

Current Plynk package does not establish:

  • Options current verified: No
  • Futures current verified: No

Assessment

Plynk is a beginner-oriented brokerage with a more interesting 2026 value proposition than a simple "$0 commissions" label suggests.

Its differentiators now include:

  • $1 fractional investing;
  • simulated trading;
  • recurring investing;
  • ongoing dividend matching;
  • a $3.99 Premium tier;
  • a cash-rate boost;
  • integrated BitGo crypto.

The strongest current promotional benefit is the dividend match, but it should not be confused with investment yield.

The biggest current data-quality issue is the crypto-provider transition.

Operational Plynk pages now identify BitGo. Older Paxos disclosures should not be treated as the current provider.

Protection must remain split:

DBS/Green Pier securities operate under brokerage/SIPC rules. BitGo crypto does not receive SIPC or FDIC protection.
