Webull and Fidelity are both credible platforms, but they are designed around different purposes. Webull is an active-trading environment with a broad self-directed product set. Fidelity is a long-horizon financial institution whose strength is breadth of account types, funds and retirement infrastructure. Commission-free stock and ETF trading at both means the decision rests elsewhere.

Options pricing separates the two

Webull charges $0 commission and $0 per-contract fee on ordinary stock and ETF options, with index options at $0.50 per contract under the controlling pricing page. Fidelity charges $0.65 per contract, and its record establishes index options support. For frequent multi-leg options activity, the per-contract structure compounds; for occasional hedging it may matter far less than platform familiarity and account breadth.

Futures and event contracts exist only at Webull

Webull provides futures through Webull Futures LLC at $1.25 per contract regular, $0.70 mini and $0.25 micro, across equity index, interest rate, currency, agriculture, metals, energy and cryptocurrency products, plus event contracts with a $0.01 firm fee and $0.01 exchange fee per contract. Fidelity's canonical record establishes that futures are not offered and does not establish a prediction-market product. If either product matters, that alone can resolve the choice.

Crypto is structured very differently

Webull's direct crypto runs through Webull Pay LLC with Coinbase execution and custody, and Bakkt Crypto Solutions, LLC in New York, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, with a 70+ headline asset count, a $0 separately stated commission, a 1% spread included in the price on many current trades, $0 custody fee and 24/7 trading. Fidelity Digital Assets supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, FIDD, Litecoin and Solana at a 1% spread and additionally supports crypto held inside traditional, Roth and rollover crypto IRAs. Neither product is SIPC protected or FDIC insured. Webull is broader on assets; Fidelity is distinctive on retirement-account crypto.

Fidelity has the deeper long-horizon infrastructure

Fidelity's canonical record covers an extensive mutual fund lineup, fixed income, retirement accounts, health savings accounts with $0 fees and $0 minimum, and Fidelity Go, which charges $0 for balances under $25,000 and 0.35% annually at $25,000 or more, with $10 needed to begin investing. Webull's record establishes bonds, corporate and municipal debt, Treasuries and money market fund access with a 0.10% treasury markup and a 0.10% corporate bond markup subject to a $10 minimum, plus Webull Advisors managed portfolios with a $100 minimum and 0.15%–0.30% annual advisory fees, but no mutual fund marketplace and no HSA in the canonical record.

Trading tooling and access favour Webull

Webull documents Desktop for Windows, Mac and Linux, WebTrade, Mobile and Lite, with advanced charting, drawing tools, cloud drawings, unlimited layouts, custom alerts, paper trading and market-depth subscriptions, alongside OpenAPI with HTTP, broker, connect, trading and market-data APIs, MQTT streaming, gRPC event streaming and Python and Java SDKs across stocks, options, futures, crypto and event contracts. Fidelity's record establishes its Trader+ platform family; an equivalent public trading API is not established and should not be inferred.

Session coverage differs in what is documented

Webull publishes premarket from 4:00 AM ET, regular hours, after-hours to 8:00 PM ET and an overnight session from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM ET on select securities, Sunday evening through Thursday overnight. Fidelity's record establishes extended-hours trading without an equivalent documented overnight session. Extended and overnight sessions can involve lower liquidity and wider spreads.

Which is better for a long-term investor?

Fidelity, based on mutual fund breadth, retirement accounts, HSA availability, fixed income and Fidelity Go.

Which is better for active trading?

Webull, based on $0 per-contract ordinary equity options, futures, event contracts, overnight sessions, desktop tooling and programmatic access.

Which is better for crypto?

It depends on the requirement. Webull offers a far larger asset count and 24/7 trading; Fidelity offers a narrower asset set with crypto IRAs.

Can both be used together?

Yes. Some readers keep long-horizon retirement and fund assets at one firm and trade actively at another. That is a common structure, not a compromise.

Practical distinction

A single ranking would not be useful. Webull may fit better when the account exists to trade. Fidelity may fit better when the account exists to build a long-term financial base.
